Having graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in International Business, Nick then spent 3 years in Executive recruitment. In 2002 he decided to move into the Financial Services industry and gained his core industry qualifications whilst working for a small IFA firm, before joining the Openwork Network.
Nick joined St. James's Place Wealth Management in September 2007 in order to provide clients with the wealth management proposition they are able to offer. Nick provides successful professionals and business owners a personal financial planning service based on trust and a complete understanding of their financial situation and objectives. He helps his clients, who tend to have extremely demanding careers and lifestyles, and therefore limited time to effectively manage their personal finances, to achieve their personal and financial goals.
Nick is married with 3 children. His main sporting passion is cricket; he is an active player/coach and committee member of Penn & Tylers Green Cricket Club. He also enjoys rugby and golf. When time permits, Nick enjoys cooking and eating out.
Having graduated from Brighton University with a degree in Sport Journalism, Sam took a career break to go travelling around the world. On his return, he decided to look to build a career in finance and joined St. James's Place Wealth Management in May 2011.
He quickly acquired his industry qualifications and now holds the Chartered Financial Planner qualification. Sam aims to build long term relationships with his clients and feels the St. James’s Place proposition enables him to provide the holistic advice needed to help meet their short and long term personal and financial objectives. Sam offers sound advice to his clients and builds a professional relationship based on trust and understanding by building effective strategies covering protection, investment planning, tax planning, pension planning and inheritance tax.
Sam currently lives with his partner Rachael. He enjoys all sports, both watching and playing, and is a keen golfer. In his spare time he also enjoys trips to the cinema and travelling to as many places as possible.
After graduating with a joint honours degree in International Business and French, Lucy successfully gained a place on the John Lewis Graduate Training Programme where she developed her People, Management and Sales skills. Consumer product marketing remained her first love and she left to hold a range of brand focused roles at Allied Domecq Wines and Spirits ending with a global brand management role looking after Malibu. She then moved to Ferrero working on their Kinder chocolate range as brand manager.
Having had a career break to raise her 3 children Lucy has joined Argent Chartered Financial Planners to manage the marketing and events programme.
In her spare time Lucy loves long country walks with her dog, travel and the gym.
With industry experience of over 30 years, Martin is a Founder Member and Senior Adviser within St. James’s Place. Martin enjoys working with his clients, who are often too busy to manage their finances themselves and helps them to accumulate wealth, and to preserve it to achieve their personal financial objectives over the short and long term.
Martin has completed his Diploma in Financial Planning and has significant experience in understanding his clients’ finances which can often be complex and challenging. He enjoys the unique nature of different clients’ financial situations, provides sound advice based on trust and develops lasting relationships by gaining a full understanding of their needs to build effective strategies in order to meet their long-term goals.
Martin is married to his German wife (who keeps him in check!). Outside of business, Martin is a motor sport enthusiast, keen golfer and enjoys cooking.
Dawn left college and joined the financial services industry in 1986. Having enjoyed a wide variety of roles in the industry, she first joined St. James’s Place in 2006.
In 2014, Dawn achieved the Diploma in Financial Planning and recently rejoined St. James’s Place providing paraplanning and technical support to Nick and his team at Argent.
Dawn is married with 2 adult children and has her hands full with 2 very playful Labradors. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, rugby union, travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Julie joined St James’s Place Wealth Management in 2008, and moved across to Argent in 2015 as a PA providing full administrative support to Nick. She now provides business support for the Argent Team, helping to ensure that the company operates efficiently on a day to day basis whilst providing a high level of service to our clients at all times.
Julie has a broad range of financial services knowledge and has completed the internal St. James’s Place Practice Support Specialist accreditation.
Married with two sons. She enjoys swimming, spending quality time with her sons and going for walks in the countryside.
